Great reflexes and composure under pressure his trademark. Supports Liverpool, was Player of the Year in his first senior season. Value: $3.2m. 2. Harry 'Bones' Gifford Defender, 16 A young but strong defender at home anywhere across the backline. Excels in the tackle and is strong in the air. Unfortunately a West Ham supporter but nobody is perfect. Enjoys a light shandy and home improvements. Value $3.8m. 3. Krishnaa 'You Better Pay Me For The Beer' Patel Defender, 29 Returning to the club after two seasons away Krishnaa brings relief to the backline, at home on the right or left. Manchester United fan, and fondly remembers his first senior goal for the 'bridge banging one in from over fifty yards. Value $14m. 4. Richard 'Ringo' Collette
Defender/Midfielder, 27 Enjoying his eleventh season in Cambridge red, filling the left back role and moving into the midfield as needed. Dedicated Southampton fan, happiest whenever somebody beats Portsmouth. Takes penalties when he's allowed but misses. Value $Priceless. 5. Steve 'Longman' Lee Defender, 35 A resolute and composed central defender and a key member of the team. His first season for Cambridge this year having moved from down South. Queenstown Rovers supporter and Canterbury U18's penalty taker champ of 1989. Value $6.7m. 6. Rob 'Coxy' Cox Defender, 31 Originally from Matamata Rob has stamped his importance to the team on every game this year, reliable and ruthless in the challenge. Liverpool supporter, enjoys light beer and tofu steaks, but only when he thinks nobody is around to see it. Value $6.8m. 7. Paul 'Do You Hear Dogs?' Blackstock
Midfielder/Forward, 30 Another Cambridge veteran, Paul is a strong and intelligent player who brings experience and organisation into the team. Leading goal scorer at the halfway stage of the 2010 season. Liverpool fan, still enjoying having won the 2008 Waikato A Division with Cambridge. Value $17m. 8. Josh 'Carpark' Dagnall Forward, 15 A technically gifted young player learning the ropes of senior football this season but producing some mighty performances. Manchester City supporter, and convinced he'll play for England one day, loves road trips. Value $NA. 9. Brad 'Get In' Tunley Striker, 29 Another new signing this summer who has proved his worth repeatedly in front of goal, strong on the ball and a clinical finisher. Forward, 31 Dedicated Cambridge player, Captain. Experienced and essential member of the team, leads by example and demands commitment. Spurs supporter and smiles when thinking of his FA Cup appearance playing for Barnstaple Town. Value $32m. 11. Joe 'Kilgour' Kilgour Midfielder/Forward, 18 Has stepped up to the Federation League this year and is proving valuable wide on the left. Quality player with the ball at his feet and tireless when he decides to run around a bit. Southampton fan and maturing into a valuable Federation player. Value $12m. 12. Knees Forward, 31 Returning to Cambridge from Australia this year Knees is a fast and agressive player with a good shot. Spurs fan and he once broke his leg in two places playing Three Kings Women's Reserves. Has excellent taste in cars and socks. Value $7.3m. 13. Joe 'Greenkeeper' Gifford Striker, 18 A strong and powerful targetman with velcro feet, Joe is in and out of the squad joining the First Team as required. Bristol Rovers supporter and everyone does their best to hold it against him. Enjoys looking at tractors and hay bales. Value $22m. 14. Steve 'Come Home' Thomas Coach/Utility, 94 Coach Thomas is the Charman of Cambridge Football Club and plays like it when he gets on the park, but that could mean anything.
