Coach: Andrew Treanor

After coaching spells in Tokoroa and West Australia, Andrew has joined Cambridge FC to coach for the first time at Northern League level. A qualified coach and fitness trainer, he will ensure his players are well prepared for the long season ahead.

  

Assistant coach: Josh Easby

A former youth team coach at Eden in the 1970s, Easby returns to coaching after a series of off-field football roles. These include two seasons as a director at English pro club York City. He’s also written books about New Zealand football.

  

Ryan (Oz) McNamara (above), Goalkeeper, 20

Australian–born Ryan played his first team football last year for Cambridge and was a member of the club’s successful Under 19 squad. Strong and confident, he is also a skillful outfield player.

  

Nathan Claridge, Defender/midfielder, 19

A graduate of Cambridge’s Under 19 squad, Nathan made his first team debut last season but is now aiming to secure a regular place in the starting line–up. He’s helped by his ability to slot into a number of positions.

  

Jonathan Monteith, Defender, 21

Putaruru–based Jonathan (‘Johnno’) is new to Cambridge and brings height and strength to the defence, as well as a high level of fitness.

  

Blair Cooper, Defender, 23

After making his first team debut at 15, Blair has developed into a commanding defender who is strong in the air and tackle.

  

Adam Graham (above), Defender/forward, 31

Adam joined Cambridge FC last year and successfully trialled for a first team spot in pre–season. One of the side’s hardest trainers, Adam is equally at home at the heart of the defence or leading the attack.

  

Wilfried Weber, Midfielder, 19

New to the club, Cambridge–based Wilfried got his first team opportunity in pre–season, showing he is comfortable on the ball and well–suited to the side’s passing style of football.

  

Lee McNally (above), Midfielder, 39

Age is no barrier for this highly–experienced midfielder who has played many seasons for Cambridge at the highest level. As well as anchoring the Cambridge midfield, Lee has a powerful shot.

  

Josh Powell, Midfielder, 23

Made his first team debut in the same season as team–mate Blair Cooper and considers himself as Cambridge through–and–through, despite having to travel from Auckland for training and home games.

  

Scott Parsonage, Midfielder, 26

Joins the club from Matamata Swifts to make his Cambridge debut in the Northern League. Scott is one  of the fittest players in the squad with a high workrate and confidence on the ball. He’s also working to become a coach.

  

Gareth Clark (above), Forward/Midfielder, 18

Gareth broke into the first team last season after joining from Matamata and was a key member of the club’s U19 side. He’s highly committed to the club and has shown leadership potential which was rewarded with the captaincy during the side’s pre–season games.

  

 

Peter Loyd (above), Forward, 17

A student in Cambridge, Peter earned his place in the first team squad with a series of good performances during pre–season, proving himself with a high workrate and intelligent use of the ball.

  

Dima Slack, Forward, 19

Having been on the fringes of first team football last season, Dima is keen to secure a regular starting position this year. Talented ball player.

  

Joe Gifford, Forward, 19

Marked his Northern League debut with a goal and Man of the Match performance against Onehunga-Mangere in June after working hard in the Federation 2 side to get his first team opportunity. Big and strong.

  

Dan Podjursky, Defender/midfield, 17

Another young player who earned his chance for first team football after progressing through the club’s U19 side. One of the squad’s quickest players, his speed will be his strength.

  

Dave Fisher, Defender, 21

Makes his debut for the first team this season after working hard in pre–season to step up to Northern League level. Dave missed the season's opening games through injury.

  

Malcolm Matthews, Utility, 20

An accomplished cricketer, Malcolm is a fit and speedy player capable of slotting into several roles. Makes his first team debut for Cambridge this season.
